That makes no sense. Projected hypothetical situation...

Exactly. I respect the Vette for what it can do, but imagine how much BETTER it would be with a DOHC V8 with coilovers all around. Do you think the C6R is using that same leaf spring setup? HELL NO. I will not own one until they take advangtage of the technology at hand, not still relying on 1960s technology and just making it work by throwing tons of money at it. For all the money they spent on the 7.0l pushord, they could have made a DOHC 4.0l V8 that revs to 9500rpm, and makes 600hp. It wouldn't have as much torque, but they could have gotten it close. They could have used the same weight saving techniques on the smaller DOHC motor and had an even lighter engine at the front, which might have made the rear transaxle unnecessary to balance the car. Plus they could have adjustable coilovers STOCK, like the GT2/3 from Porsche. Corvette is supposed to be the flagship for GM, so make it the fastest, but also the most modern, car in the fleet. I'm not even gonna get into the interior, cause, WOW, serious crap there.

Way off topic...... hey bud your from the sphere.
And there are a bunch of SOHC that put out more than many DOHC. As in 6s? Yep. That's me. Don't let them know. I've been looking at a Miata lately and wanted to educate myself on the cars. So I decided to do what a forum junkie does. I joined up on some Miata forums! lol. |
