bout damn time. i was getting so bored with my regular zo6's 500hp.

yeah, i bet it will fit, but 650 V8 horses in a 89in wheelbase? yikes.

SS is a lame name, weren't they calling it the Blue Devil before? that was sweet. they could call it the Z0666!!!!!!!!1

UofACATS 02-23-2007 07:05 PM

The vettes just keep getting nastier.

VRTSid 02-23-2007 07:31 PM

does it still rock the buggy suspension? if so? GM FAIL!

kotomile 02-23-2007 08:06 PM

buggy suspension?

Al Hounos 02-23-2007 08:28 PM

seriously, what are you talking about? Vettes have been kicking ass the past 20 years.

magnamx-5 02-23-2007 08:42 PM

ive yet to drive one i liked 37

Trent 02-23-2007 08:51 PM

i think he's referring to the leafspring suspension in the rear, borrowed from a medieval ox-cart.

:gay:
You know the first vette was based on the same platform as a chevy truck. So they're just keepin it real.

krayzrac3r 02-23-2007 09:07 PM

I give the vette props because its rocking leafsprings and it still hands every car there ass in a track based race and straight line. I have yet to see a car within its price range keep up on a straight away and turns. Z06 is the only chevy i would consider buying...now to find 75,000 bux hmmm lol

I've driven many Vettes and all generations. The only one I didn't like to drive was IIRC a 58 convertible. Drove like an old truck (because it basically was) and the tranny didn't have synchros. Also didn't like how I always had a "rolling perimeter" of vehicles around me. Everyone wanted to take a look.

The 63 convertible I drove before I drove the 58 was much nicer, as was the big block tri power 67.

Never driven a ZR1 or a Lingenfelter. Would welcome the opportunity.

The only vett ive been in was a 2001 twin turbo z06 , my pig-rich old fart of neibor....it was nice, till the old fart started driving like a maniac doing 160 down a stretch racing a porche 911 of I-95 made me scared of old people....

turbopezz 02-23-2007 09:51 PM

whats the deal with those actuators in the exhaust tips.

hustler 02-23-2007 10:00 PM

god I'd kill every one of you for that car...or just a c6 z06. The speedline wheels look dope.

m2cupcar 02-23-2007 11:24 PM

I'm not the kind of guy to buy the car fast off the floor, I like to (try) make it that way. Or maybe it's just because I can't afford to put it on track and wad it up, because I sure as hell wouldn't buy something like that and NOT take it to the track (and I mean a road course).

Mach929 02-23-2007 11:47 PM

vettes rock, i can't afford one i really want but i'd like a c6 zo6, trade almost anything for it

turbopezz 02-24-2007 01:28 AM

yea i like almost all generations, except the last of the stingrays.

magnamx-5 02-24-2007 08:41 AM

the latest corvette switches over to half muffler half open pipe at a certian speed/RPM 39

My guess - to keep the thing quiet at idle and open up at WOT/certain RPM to facilitate better breathing. FWIW Ferrari uses a similar system on certain models.
