bout damn time. i was getting so bored with my regular zo6's 500hp.

yeah, i bet it will fit, but 650 V8 horses in a 89in wheelbase? yikes.

SS is a lame name, weren't they calling it the Blue Devil before? that was sweet. they could call it the Z0666!!!!!!!!1

i think he's referring to the leafspring suspension in the rear, borrowed from a medieval ox-cart.

You know the first vette was based on the same platform as a chevy truck. So they're just keepin it real.

I give the vette props because its rocking leafsprings and it still hands every car there *** in a track based race and straight line. I have yet to see a car within its price range keep up on a straight away and turns. Z06 is the only chevy i would consider buying...now to find 75,000 bux hmmm lol

I've driven many Vettes and all generations. The only one I didn't like to drive was IIRC a 58 convertible. Drove like an old truck (because it basically was) and the tranny didn't have synchros. Also didn't like how I always had a "rolling perimeter" of vehicles around me. Everyone wanted to take a look.

The 63 convertible I drove before I drove the 58 was much nicer, as was the big block tri power 67.

Never driven a ZR1 or a Lingenfelter. Would welcome the opportunity.

I'm not the kind of guy to buy the car fast off the floor, I like to (try) make it that way. Or maybe it's just because I can't afford to put it on track and wad it up, because I sure as hell wouldn't buy something like that and NOT take it to the track (and I mean a road course).

My guess - to keep the thing quiet at idle and open up at WOT/certain RPM to facilitate better breathing. FWIW Ferrari uses a similar system on certain models.
