Nicolas Cage

Worst actor ever? I think so. I always felt that way, but this little video of clips really confirmed that for me. How in the fuck, besides being a Coppola, does he get roles in movies? I have to admit, I do watch his movies just to amaze myself as to how bad they really are, and they are funny in that they suck so bad.

No way Affleck is worse than Cage. Look at the long list of shitty movies Cage has been in. I've tried to think of one I like... and I can't.

hackingjack 04-01-2010 01:15 AM

True that. Didn't cage have a roll in The Evil Dead series? Or am I confusing him with an equally as bad actor.

You're either thinking of Bruce Campbell, or Nic Cage in Ghost Rider. Another fucking terrible movie. My personal favorite is Windtalkers (OMG! absolute worst WWII film I have seen) or Bangkok Dangerous. I laughed so hard at that movie.

NA6C-Guy 04-01-2010 01:23 AM

I like Bruce.

I don't like

This song cracks me up.

I loved that movie only because he beats up women and runs around in a bear suit, and steals a bike from a woman at gunpoint.

hackingjack 04-01-2010 01:25 AM

Can they top this POS movie? http://www.horror-movies.ca/gallery/...gerdeadman.jpg

I stopped going to the movies a long time ago. Every film is a mundane copy of each other with the same key elements: explosions, silicone bewbs, crappy actors.

How old are you?

hackingjack 04-01-2010 01:41 AM

I really don't see how it's relevant to the subject, but for the record, I'm 15. Why?

jayc72 04-01-2010 01:58 AM

So when you say you stopped going to the movies a long time ago, how long ago are we talking? To put it into perspective you were about 4-5 years old when Jar Jar Binks made his debut on the big screen. My Miata is older than you, I've got a pair of Doc Martens of about the same vintage as you. Either of those has about as much credibility as you do in matters of cinema.

Anyway, Nic Cage hasn't done too many movies I've liked. But there are a few exceptions, Valley Girl, Vampire's Kiss, The Rock, and Wild At Heart. But you got to admit that he is truely the god of over acting (Except for Shatner maybe).

Nick Cage likes gerbils in his asshole. True story.

thirdgen 04-01-2010 02:37 AM

Nicholas Cage, worst actor ever?? How about this...I think you're a fucken dick...
Just messing with ya...actually I'd say the only move I like with Nicholas Cage is, is Gone in 60 Seconds, and me liking that movie has nothing to do with him. Ever see the original gone in 60 seconds? I didn't, but I hear it has way more car carnage. Ever see National Treasure? Now that is some shitty acting on Nicholas Cage's part. I did like the movie "Face Off" with him and Travolta. I felt that movie wasn't poorly acted, but perhaps poorly directed. I tend to critize every movie I see, and I find flaws in everything. If you want to see a perfect movie, then let me direct it, and I can assure you, Nicholas Cage will have nothing to do with it. Neither will Adam Sandler, cause fuck him too. He'd be nothing more than an extra, right next to McCulley Culkin. Adam Sandler is another one where I don't think his acting sucks, I think it's the move that he plays in in general that makes him look like a walking penis. Then again, what do I know, I listen to the Bloodhound Gang, and I drive a Miata.

I can't stand Dickless Cage either. Here are some military acting jobs I like; (not entirely acting for Ermey.) Been watching these while waiting to leave for Marine boot camp...

Mr. Nicholson. (Colonel Jessup, USMC)

The Original 1974 Gone in 60 seconds is AWESOME. I recommend it. The cars they have to steal is 10000000000 times better then the car list in the 2000 movie version. I have the original on DVD. A polish guy made the movie too. =) The guy directed, produced, and starred in the movie. I'd suggest the movie for anyone on this site. The final chase scene is about 45 minutes of pure carnage and some awesome driving. No special effects in that bitch. Just straight up driving/ wrecking. He even goes into a real Cadillac dealer and smashes some new cars (his buddy was the owner and had no idea he was going to smash the cars).

turotufas 04-01-2010 10:04 AM

Some folks call it a sling blade, I call it a Kaiser blade. MMMmmmm.

Machismo 04-01-2010 10:07 AM

That would H.B. Halicki - the "Car Crash King". Holds numerous records still to this day with his movie carnage.
He has several other movies out there, that not too many are familiar with. Going to dust them off now...

Keanu while acts in monotone, and is equally unbelievable most of the time, at least has been in a few movies I at least could tolerate. Speed 3 (The Lake House) was actually a decent film, I know there are others, but they were too underwhelming to recall.

Anybody else notice that Cage always looks really confused, and like he either has no idea what is going on, or didn't read the script very well and has forgotten most of his lines. Especially when someone is talking to him. The ONLY film I will give him credit for being decent in, which has been years since I have seen, and may have been supporting actors that made me like it, is The Rock. Connery may have masked Cage's suckiness.

cueball1 04-01-2010 12:41 PM

I'd like to see Cage and John Malkovich in a wet paper bag match. 1st one to act his way out of it wins.

Only if Malkovich has to speak in that terrible Russian accent from Rounders the entire time.

NA6C-Guy 04-01-2010 12:46 PM

I want someone to make the supermovie with Keanu, Cage, Malkovich and Affleck. 3 hours of some of the most awesome acting ever seen by man. Then have Shatner as story narrator.

mgeoffriau 04-01-2010 12:49 PM

How about a cameo by Paul Walker?

Doppelgänger 04-01-2010 12:51 PM

Another "actor" I really hate is that whiny little fag that played in Superbad and Juno...that skinny brown-haired faggette. My God, talk about someone who plays the SAME charactor in every movie. I have seen him in other roles but can't remember which movies.

On a side note of bad movies...the other day Escape from L.A. was on...I laughed ....a lot.

He was funny in Arrested Development. Then he made 5 movies where he played the exact same character.

Connery's abilities cover for Cage. Has Connery made a bad movie? Or are people affraid to say so? Kinda like is there a bad Chuck Norris movie? People dare not say it.

Raising Arizona thought it was a great move and it deserves a 3rd mention :D To this day I still try to shoot lizards off rocks with a sawed off shotgun.

They should do a super movie with Cage and Travolta. They should be mortal enemies and beat the crap out of each other. THEN when you thought it could get no more awesome, they trade bodies. So you get to see Travolta channeling Cage, and Cage channeling Travolta.

That movie would be full of awesome!

cueball1 04-01-2010 03:48 PM

Think you could get Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton in that movie with Cage, Malkovich and Affleck?

Being type cast (which 70% of actors are) doesn't make someone a bad actor. Take Clint Eastwood, or Christopher Walken for example.

One of the best actors? Gary Oldman.

Yeah, but in a 40 year career as varied as Young Frankenstein to French Connection to Get Shorty to Unforgiven you are bound to have a couple clunkers.

Oldman is one that gets lost in his roles though. He has credits I had know idea it was him in the roll.

I like Robert De Niro. He plays many similar roles but he's still a badass.
