I was gonna be all over this, but I found out I have a job interview tomorrow and desperately need to shave

 

I already have a month chin beard but when I did movember last year my mustach would do this thing where my left side of stash would be flipped up like a cowlick and the right side would be normal . When it got longer it looked crazy stupid. Ill try again this year.

 

Hmm. On the one hand, when I'm at home, I work in a lab full of engineers, some of whom fit the "ole' greybeard" stereotype. So it wouldn't be out of place.

On the other hand, if I don't shave for a week, I wind up looking like the stereotypical crazy islamic extremist, and I'll be passing through several checkpoints and boarding a US-bound international flight in about a week and a half.

On the gripping hand, what's the worst that can happen? I'm detained in a small room and interrogated by Germans?

 

Saw this first thing this morning and thought about it. I haven't shaved since Friday, but if I go a week without shaving I'll get too agitated by the itch. I'm still on the fence with this.

I'm in, just shaved last night.

 

The itching normally starts between 7 and 10 days. Then goes away by about day 14. Three weeks in, the quills you refer to as your beard softens into something resembling hair.

Although the "challenge" sounds somewhat fun, I'll stick with the look I'm sporting now.

However, in light of some of the other offerings attached above, I grant you an image taken a handful of years ago with about two and a half months growth...

 

I would if I could. Got Mustache March in a few months which is about all I can do. I can grow a decent chinstrap (which I do every time I go on leave) but with just a mustache, I look so much like a pedophile that people who I've never even seen before feel the need to comment on it.

 

I grew mine out for eight months with just a little trimming. Since then I've been trimming it every week.

Excuse the look. I'd been working on caging the rally car for eight hours.



Here I am this spring after three months of growth.

 

i haven't used a razor on my face since sometime early summer of '09. I usually just mow with the beard trimmer. I haven't mowed in a week. I'll mow tonight.

My hair also hasn't been cut in a few months....

 

I am going to take part in this, but am also taking advantage of a week (weak)'s head start. I'll need it. The GF is going to hate me.

 

I wont be cutting my hair untill after the winter myself. Shawn White style!

My facial hair grows crazy slow, but ill be participating anyways.

I grow facial hair fast, it just sucks that it's thin and patchy. Never saw a Native American in a painting or photo rocking an Abe Lincoln beard... I'm a lot native, so yeah.

Anyone in on this? I haven't shaved since the last Friday in October, so I guess that counts.

 

I broke down and shaved on the 13th of November. It itched to much to keep going.

I'm still going hard, would get pics, but my phone is full of pictures from super hot naked chicks so I'll wait until the end of the month to post up.

 

I haven't shaved in about 10 days, nothing to brag about yet.
