Think of it as a tall accord. Supposedly reliable.

Seems like a good price for a good car for sure. I don't know much about them except they physically seem to hold up very well (interior cloth is durable, etc).

I'd rock a CRV, but for the same price I got a forester of similar year. Because I live where it snows, and there are a ton of dirt roads to tear up, i went subaru.
CRV > subaru in gas mileage though, so for this thread i'd say hell yeah. I've been wanting to put a b20 from a CRV into my teg for more torque.https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1389996230 i call it the rallyteg, got it for $900 like 5 years ago. It's been my DD ever since, now @180k it consumes a bit of oil, but runs like a champ and I really don't think it is going to die anytime soon.. |

If getting an older CR-V try to get an MT Also b16 vtec or b18 vtec head will (mostly) bolt on, add Hondata equals high revving, fun motor that still gets good mpgs, all in a jacked up civic wagon... |

Eh, Fuelly shows that mileage is realistically in the 21-24 mpg. Really want to get closer to 30 mpg highway.
|
My teg gets >30mph on the highway easily, and has enough power to pass on smaller backroads (probably as fast as like 1.8 miata, lol).

Then I think, the longer I wait, the more I'm wasting on gas money in the meantime, so why shouldn't I just buy the CR-V and get it over with? |
This article has almost convinced me to go look at the CR-V tomorrow. Still not 100%.
MPG Illusion, gallons per mile, GPM, GPKM |
I'd go with a CRV for the utility. That is why I'm going with a Forester over my integra. I don't do a ton of highway miles anyways.

Still looking? I've been offered a minty fresh 89 MX6 GT, white with blue interior with 125k miles for $1300 in Atlanta.
Has a low RPM stutter/miss. Timing and compression both checked out good. I'm going with a bad VAF or a boost leak. I have a spare VAF i would provide for the cost of a nice 6 pack of beer. This car. Been garaged since. Clean 89 GT in my driveway - Mazda MX6 Forums: MX6 Forum |
Damn. No rust, A/C works?
|
Muther eff, I can haz?
|
No rust, don't know about A/C. I can find out.
I was contemplating buying it to "re-body" my red car since it's had a pretty rough life and has 100k more miles than that thing. |
A/C has R12 charge. Works fantastic.
|
If this thing were in my neck of the woods I would buy it. Nice replacement for my current Maxima beater.
|
It's tempting as fuck to get that instead of the B2200 I was planning on...
I like RWD too much at the end of the day though. |
Solution: EFR your NB. Buy MX6. Fart around in MX6 until you feel comfy with NB.
Gut MX6, copy my idea of F2T into NA with your junkpile NA. Win at life. Give me MX6 shell so i can re-body Swank Force One for great glory and victorious spoils. |
Man, I hate driving to Atlanta. Might be worth it anyway though.
How bad is the stumble/miss? Bad enough to cause stalling? Safe to drive it 6 hours back to MS? |
Will find out.
