If the motor is grounded through the chasis all you'd need is a wire from the positive terminal of a battery going to the positive terminal on the electric motor.

If the ground is bad on the motor you'll need 2 wires from the battery going to both connectors on the motor. OR if the ground is switched (which I've never seen before) you'll need 2 wires.

Slidin I think your problem is either a dead motor, window tracks in need of lubrication, or a bad switch.

Then again looking at your time constraints I guess this was a little late. Sorry to see you're having so much trouble with your car man.

Since I just replaced two passenger regulators on two miatas I am pretty sure your cable has broken. Once you open up the door panel to look inside you just need to trace the cables and find out if it broke or came off track.

its not too hard to replace the regulator using your good motor (since you hear it working). Cost is about $70 per door from finishlineperformance.
