COTA parking
Alright, I managed to get some extra tickets from Doppelganger to go to COTA this weekend. To all those that have already been, tell me about the parking. I've always heard its a nightmare. I have a map of the different parking zones, so what do I need to go for? I will be driving up Saturday morning and getting there roughly around 9 AM and then I will have to get the tickets from Doppel in person. What should my game plan be?

My only prior experience was F1. I suspect that parking for F1 and parking for V8 Supercars are two completely different issues. Last time I just parked where assigned (came with ticket package) and took the busses. Worked out fine. This time, I've got a parking pass (bought with the ticket) for Lot P. I expect that will work out fine too. I don't think there is a huge difference between any of the lots.
I'll be driving down in my V8 Supercar (Pontiac G8 GT)!! Unfortunately, yesterday evening, it got caught in a hail storm at the Mineral Wells, TX airport. So I've got the speed dimple mod. Sigh.
BTW, those white clouds were a funnel trying to form. The whole thing was awe inspiring. Baseball to softball size hail.

Ok, since Doppel is currently in the air right now flying to Austin, I really don't have the details on what package I have. However, he did say that the tickets he was selling me was "parking not included" so what now?

Yeah, I was at work -- but according to the wife, the big tornado (EF4) went over the house as a funnel and then touched down about 3 miles away. Got unlucky with the car, but seriously lucky with the house and family. No complaints here, I assure you.
Not sure about the private parking situation. I do remember that there were empty fields where the landowners were letting people park for a fee during F1. The track is kind of "out there."
