is the stripe vinyl or paint? if it's paint, maybe have a thin white stripe painted down the middle separate it into 2 stripes

 

or two inches from each side, run a 1/2" wide white stripe.

Just take the stickers off and leave it as is.
Other places to spend money on...

 

Go look up the color "torched penny".... you'll love it.

 

I am not a fan of the solid wide stripe myself. I always like my 3 bar stripe, or a nice cobra stripe. As for sticking out, oh yes, you will stick out. Every time I lent my car to some one I would get calls. You know where so and so was with your car, or you lent your mother your car? Mom liked driving my CSP Miata LOL. Or my fav, I saw you speeding down XXX street slow the eff down.

Originally I was going to stripe Miata #4, but I am liking the blending in to all the other white Miatas out there.
Miata #2 (had it for 8 years) the hard top was striped to match it of course

 

What about splitting teh balck stripe with a white stripe or multiple white stripes?
