There were places that I could not get clean, and when I put acetone on the front during prep, the paint just melted off. So "**** it, let it run." When it flakes off and looks bad, I'll just spray it again.

Its a commuter car, I don't care what it looks like, but now it doesn't look like it belongs on a burrito-lot. Now I need a motor that doesn't have 70% leak, lol. Anyone trying to unload a cheap bottom end or 99 motor? I can get a 0-mile NA head for $300.

Somehow this is the best picture I can find of my old '92 and it doesn't even have the pillars painted at the point it was taken, the black mirrors/HT set it off though i think.

Looks a lot better, hustler. Shame it won't be quite the filter it used to be, but oh well. Hit the top, surround & mirrors with some Rustoleum Royal Blue; would be an interesting look.

 

i forgot about the old "gold differ filter" moniker. lol

The door jams still tell a story though.

 

This makes me slightly regret not getting bronze.

Nah. It was regular gloss black car with gray stripes, but the stripes were BARELY lighter than the car, so they didn't stick out. Looked great

That one is all flat black. Not a fan of flat black cause it looks like primered, and you can see EVERY LITTLE imperfection. No offense
