Philip, the ball is in your court. If you accept the integrity of my words in this post, please reinstate my previous account, drop me an eMail letting me know it is reinstated and then eliminate this one. I expect if you allow me to return, you will find I will be more of a positive addition than a burden. If not, kill this account as well.

1. philip doesn't care what happens here as long as it doesn't bug him or involve him much. eg. asking him to do stuff involves him. best to keep the account you have working (l_bader) than to try to get the other one working.
2. if you insult people (which is often ok), dont actually be a jerk about it. we poke all sorts of fun but try not to get too serious. serious leads to banning--even if the mods are goading you.
3. dont complain about how unfair things are. history shows that the powers that be here are relatively intolerant of it. is it right? probably not. but the moderators have low thresholds
4. be awesome. you'll be very quickly accepted if you show us something neat, novel, original, or just plain badass. so far you've got that one covered it looks like.
how's that for a start?

Hehehe. Yeah, welcome aboard, dude. MiataTurbo can be a rough joint- think of it as a fraternity where the hazing ritual involves being murdered.
But yeah, you'll find that Philip (the owner of the site) as well as all of his moderators and a signifigant number of the more senior users are in fact completely heartless ******** when provoked. It's pretty much a badge of pride.

and yet i have still sucked the integrity of this forum further down than you have, shameful
philip do you know the numbers of how many people join per month, or is this stuff not recorded somewhere? (i'd do the math but have no idea how long the forums been around) seems like this place is starting to boom

We're tiny, we have fewer members on at a time than .net has in one thread and I'm perfectly Ok with quality over quantity. It's at a point that it mostly supports itself and unless disaster strikes the dedi box doens't need much input from me.

Im still not sure i understand everything in the above statement, but ive pretty much been copying people for nearly everything I do, and not a one time in my year and a half on here have I been ragged for anything. The best way to learn how to do something is to copy what an experienced person has done first, then to explore from there ... not the other way around.
