Picked up a new toy today. GSXR 750

Picked up a new toy today. 1997 GSXR 750. It doesnt have to best paint but theres no cracks in the plastic and its in amazing shape mechanically (16k on the odo) Has new tires and a leo vince pipe. All in all I couldn't pass it up for only $1600. At first I was a little weary about white rims but they really grew on me and now I wouldn't have them in any other color. Plus all my gear is black/white/grey https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-6...0/IMG_2904.JPG https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-A...0/IMG_2898.JPG https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-Z...0/IMG_2900.JPG https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-y...0/IMG_2905.JPG https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Z...0/IMG_2902.JPG |
Very niiiice!!!

Very nice, I love this bike. Personally I prefer the white/blue GSXR colors, but at $1600 and 16k on the odo, you sure can't pass it up.
|
Thanks guys, ya I love it. I'm trying to figure out what to do with it to kinda spice up the look just a tad just to break up the all-one-colorness. I'm looking on ebay, for $30 I can get an all white decal kit that I think will look pretty good. Threw something together in paint in like 2 minutes but you get the idea...

dont like the chromey frame, but 1600 is a steal, nice pickup!
|
Polishing the rear subframe helps, makes it match the rest of the frame.
Very nice bike, I might be picking up another one myself this week. |
Nice deal! I'm not as familiar as I used to be with old gixxers but I think that era's 900 engine bolts in. If at some point you need to replace the 750 mill.
EDIT: I may be thinking of the kawasaki's. Disregard. |
are you black?

You *watched* this happen? You sure are a deuchebag of a homeboy. Should have pulled the remington 12ga out of the back seat of your bronco and blasted that bitch.
|

Good deal on a nice bike...regardless of the rep the "Gixxer" gets.
Adjust the valves and give it a better color combo and enjoy. |

Thanks gospeed |
Ugh it's snowballing into a nightmare! The key broke off in the ignition, tried removing the ignition and while fiddling with one of the ignition wires had a tiny hole in it or something because it arced between the wire and the frame via the Allen wrench I was using. Little spark didn't think much of it. Well fast forward a few hours past giving up on removing the ign, making a lock pick tool out of a Bobby pin, fishing the key out, having a new key made... Having a second new key made that finally works... Getting on to ride it to work and realizing there's no power to the bike! Argh! Now I'm heading to the parts store to pick up a main fuse. All of it's 100% my fault but it's frustrating none the less lol!
EDIT: Got everything going again, only took 5 minutes to replace main fuse but still had to call into work. Oh well I got some paid time off built up. I guess I can wire up my wideband gauge in the mata this afternoon. |
Is it just me or is the rear lowered? If it is please fix that squid bullshit.
