Default PIcs from this sundays HOUSCCA autoX

Finished 2nd in my class (C-stock) and took over the overall 2nd spot in the year standings. I need a 1st place win in order to have a chance to get 1st in my class and earn a champion jacket.

Was #24 overall in pax on dead tires

Thanks to my friend Ven for taking these photos. (Side note he drives the FP or now X class BMW with the wing. It weighs less than a miata)

Wow - a 4-banger Accord for auto-x?? Hope it has some suspension upgrades - mine handles only in the generic sense.

Great pics, though. Love the tires on the BMW, and yours.

Ven has Hoosier A6's on his car. I for get how wide but as you can see they are huge.

I am stretching Kumhos V710s that are 225 on the factory 6in wide wheels. The proper way to stretch a tire

The guy with the accord, it was his first time out.

I just know I'm going to get laughed off the lot next time I go to an autoX. I haven't been to one in years and since then I've more than doubled my power, added real tires, learned to drive a bit better. However, I was totally **** poor at it, which is why I stopped going. Most folks laughed at me rather than offer to help me learn and at the time I was young and stupid, so I didn't ask for help either.

Looks like a blast. Now you need to get that guy that's winning in your car **** drunk so he's too hung over to race at the next event.

Good job and good luck w/ year end standings.....
Best to stay in CS if you don't want the PAX to be your killer. I'm in SM2 and our PAX is almost as high as FM.

What are you talking about the Pax in CS is getting silly. They have raised it the last three years in a row.

Oh well we could have placed 1st and 2nd in BS and most every other class based on raw times anyway before pax.

For the Houston area
Registration fees are as follows:
When registering On-line $25.00
when registering on Site $30.00

And a new national rule.
Plus a $15 dollar weekend fee if you are not an SCCA member, although you can use that $15 to go towards a membership that gives you a ton of discounts and a 12 month subscription to SportsCar magazine.

If anyone wants to join let me know so I can give you my member # for a referral

I too am only worried about the raw times. Winning is winning.
The PAX system can be compared to a great quote from Homer Simpson....
"Even the most improbable can be made probable through statistics."
