So the initial measurements of ~120 front two ~90 back two with the damaged cylinder head are inaccurate? Did you try the accurate gauge on the damaged head before removing it? Or the inaccurate gauge on the new cylinder head? (if the bad gauge says 120 across the engine with the new head then maybe the old head isn't as bad as it may be)
I'm afraid to ask, but what sort of chunck of metal are in the front side of your cat?
si senor. the head was removed before i even got back to bruce's so no. realized the gauge was fucked up when i was getting different results each time i checked the same cylinder. so this morning we cleaned up the original head, reinstalled it and checked the compression. 195, 200, 200, 190. again the engine was cold. reattached all the fluid line and electronics and fired her up, literally. ran without the exhaust mani just to make sure she would run. video coming soon
reassembled everything with stock exhaust and drove it home. engine was smooth and quiet.
Hard to believe whatever was in there came out without fucking up a valve. *sigh* You'd think parts of it (besides the turbine blades) have to be in your exhaust/cat????
