We had an intake like that at one point. The restrictor caused sufficient vacuum that it collapsed on the dyno due to problems with the layup. Oops.

Well, ours that collapsed was straight carbon fiber. Then we went to straight aluminum. Really, yours should be fine. Even ours *would* have been fine, if we hadn't been trying to ghetto rig the whole thing and lay up carbon fiber with absolutely no idea what the hell we were doing.

Our nozzle-diffuser-collector was ghetto fiberglass in comparison to that one shown above. Nice work.
