Default Poll: Help me pick a new car

Im looking to buy a new car, something that I can leave (mostly) stock and have it still be pretty quick and fun to drive. Its going to be my daily driver so dont vote on something just because with serious mods it can be fun, Im not interested in doing anything serious to this car (thats what project cars are for)

Im looking for something under 25k

Low mile Mazdaspeed6's can be had for under 20k any day of the week I got mine almost two years ago with 24k miles for 17k. My buddy just bought one with 14k miles for 18k last week. Who doesn't want 280hp AWD 4-door sedan that doesn't ride like a rally car. I absolutely love mine!

After coming from a couple high hp FWD's I'll never go back.

glad the speed 3 was in there. I was going to pop in and recommend it. Fast, dependable, and practical. I recall a car mag that said the mazdaspeed guys told them to dump the clutch all day long, that it wouldn't be a problem.

From that I gather that the drivetrain is pretty bulletproof.

I went with the Mini Cooper. I picked up one for my wife about a week ago. Gotta say that car is pretty fun to drive. Sporty but still very comfy and fun. I never thought I could have as much fun in a fwd car.

speed 3, I wanted one bad when I was looking, but it was out of my price range. In the lower price bracket, the saab 9-5 aero i got is a real good dd.

I voted for the Speed3, great car.

But what about a 1.8t Golf or even a MKIV R32?
