Default Preggers!

I think I've reached a new level of "geekness" when I feel obliged to tell my online friends I'm having a baby. But, I spend more time on this forum as I do with any of my neighbors and they all know!!!

Yup, 12weeks now. She's starting to feel better. Nausea is all gone and the headaches are only late at night. She's taking every ******* remedy anybody ever told her about and she swears each new one is the miracle ticket.

Our second ultrasound is in about 3hours. If "it's" facing the right way and it's a boy, they should be able to tell. She's really hoping for a boy... I have no preference.

The best part... I told her it was going to be about another $1500 to build the new motor. I even told her there was basically nothing wrong with the used one I just put in. And she said "Have fun"... and she meant it!!! It wasn't just the hormomes talking... she actually gave me the green-light for the thing. I think in the end it's gonna cost me bigtime with all the baby-****. I can hear it now:
"OH, I see how it is. You can buy a new motor for the stupid car but the baby gets generic Costco diapers."
"No, you can't buy baby-stuff off Craigslist, what's the matter with you???"
"No, the baby stroller doesn't need Toyos!"
"No, the baby isn't going to be seen in public in a Zoom-Zoom onesie!"
"No, a weekend at Bondurant is not appropriate for a 3month-old."

I hope it's a girl... every birthday present she gets $100 worth of Craftsman!

Congrats! My wife is in her 23rd week, we got one of those groovy 3D ultrasounds and the presence of vagina was unmistakable. So I'll have one of each!

You are in for a real experience, preganancy is natures way easing you into being a father. There is only one thing that can be more irrational than a baby, and that's a pregnant woman!

My wife found the nausea managable by eating many small meals. Once you are out of the first tri-mester the fun begins! Then it all goes in the ******* once the 3rd starts.

Awesome news, hope everyone remains healthy!

Congrats guys. My son is 15 months now. The 1sy year just flies by. All I can say is get as much sleep as you can now. Tell your wife to sleep when the baby sleeps and go out and buy a big *** toy box!

Congrats! BTW the huggies at costco are cheaper per diaper than the costco brand (which are nice anyway) and costco formula is fine so built engine FTW!

Congrats. IMO nothing compares to the experience, but you don't realize it until you're there. Take lots of videos and photos along the way, because as cliche as it sounds, they do grow up fast. Be sure to experience the birth, you will never take being a man for granted again and you'll have a new found appreciation for your wife.

Congrats Sam. That's awesome.

BTW...If its a girl, you are hooked up. My youngest is just coming out of her 0-6 month clothes.

On the craftsman note...We bought our oldest (3yr) a plastic tool kit for Christmas. She was out in the garage with me that night working on my car. I love it.

+1 on taking lots of pics and videos. Its amazing how much they change in the 1st year. One day they are a helpless vegetable and the next there walking around, feeding themselves and giving attitude. Enjoy bro!

Congratulations.

If you want to do something fun, buy a newspaper the day the child is born and give to them for their 18th birthday. I did this with both my daughters so they could see what was happening in the world the day the born.
