This is a call for immediate action, not a request for discussion.

USA Dept of Commerce is accepting comments (until June 22) from the public on the White House proposed tariffs of up to 25% on all imported cars and car parts. The opinion of the White House is that these imports pose a "threat to national security". This carefully worded statement is made to allow the president to enact the tariffs without needing to get it past congress. It is a rather transparent attempt at obfuscation of the truth. The proposed tariffs apply to probably half the stuff you have bolted to your car since you bought it. 100% if your car isn't American built. Say no to this abuse of power. This is not a political post, it's a call to action by the citizens it will most affect. You.

As I'm sure this post will spark a heated political debate, I will not subscribe to it. I don't argue politics on the interweb. That's a waste of time. Read. Act according to your conscience.
