Saw these guys live a few years ago. Absolutely killer show.

Dude copied one of the Blue Man Group PVC instruments.

 

Yeah, he did. But to me, that's a little like some kid building a functioning nuclear reactor and then complaining that he copied the Babcock & Wilcox mPower™ design. It doesn't make it less cool.

 

It's as cool as some kid building a MegaSquirt...just because someone's already done it, and even if there are write-ups for it, doesn't mean it was easy (or didn't take hella initiative) to get it to work...and make a good show of it to boot.

 

I have this fleeting suspicion that my GF has some BMG tickets waiting to surprise me. I've seen them once, and have all of their CDs and DVDs. They are awesome!

Well, not 100% original. This is from their show in Orlando where I saw them. Gives you an idea of what the whole act is like. (You can't really hear it, but at about 2:02, someone in the audience (a plant) shouts Freebird! which is what makes the next part funny, because of course you can't really play Freebird on a PVC instrument, now can you?)

 

So the kids just a BMG nut-swinger then...not AS cool anymore.

Also...looks like he made 2 setups...the one in the second vid isn't as clean and has less bends.
