Not really. It's easier to move quickly when your muscles are strong. Look at NFL players.

Exactly. I have been making gains consistently. Even through a deployment that involved starving and dehydrated on the side of a mountain for as long as a month at a time.

Whoever said to get rid of carbs completely, I don't agree with that. You need those for energy. If someone says supplements are bad for you (which some are, but if you stick to the basic protein and pre workout like no explode then you are fine) one could say that the zero carb diet is worse. Your body just takes the protein you just shoveled in and makes it into carbs anyways, therefore cutting down your total protein. This way, you don't have to eat 5 pound of meat or 3 protein shakes a day. Also, kasien, is a slower absorption protein, and if you take some before you sleep, it helps your muscles recover at night as well.
