Not so sure I'd go quite that far about the NSX. . . but I've never had the opportunity to beat on one yet. I assume my comment would be the same as the s2000 that it needs more torque, but I'll report back when that happens. ;)

I wouldn't want the faux ferrari NSX, but would you honestly take a M3 (even the new v8) over a NSX?

Yea every time.. NSX looks like the owner is about 4 inches shy on their penis and is slower. Some years have known tranny issues the engine has no umph .. please understand I was a huge Honda guy and built and raced them for years.. Honda FAILED with the NSX IMO.. It should have had about 100 more Ft/LBS of torque and about 200 more WHP redline should have been closer to 10k this was all stuff Honda was capable of doing at the time and decided to cheap out…

The Chassis was nice though… Very Nice.. I just couldn’t see dropping that much cash car and need to modify the entire drive train…

Yeah, the cool thing about the Ultima is the lap times, affordability, ease of service, and you can drive it on public roads when the weather is nice.

Absolutely, without a doubt. Wouldn't even have to think about it. You have to realize that you're asking the worlds biggest honda hater (me) that question. Honestly I'd rather put a gun in my mouth and pull the trigger than EVER own _anything_ with a Homo badge on it. If you handed me an NSX I'd sell it without ever getting in the drivers seat, then put every penny into something I like..

So absolutely! I would even take an E30 318 over an NSX.

Why would someone try to track that yellow 5.0. in the picture. Yea they have brute power, but that is the worst handling car made. I know, I love them and have left jizzeeem in the gas tank 5 times. But they don't handle.

Looks more look a E30 M3 to me.. They are VERY different than a 318.. I helped a buddy put a s52 M3 engine in one of those E30 chassis.. fun fun car..

I wanted an e30 so bad back when I had the turbo corrado. I have a buddy with a 3.0 in a 318 running MS...its pretty bad. The miata will do though.

well with shitty stock suspension or something for the strip, yeah they suck. They are awesome with proper suspension for the track. 99.999% of fox bodies have ladder bars and are set up to squat, not for a proper road course.

True but in all fairness there are better platforms to start with than a live rear axle car for road racing..

318 = 1.8L four banger. why bother.

You are correct, thats not an E30 318 but an E30 M3.. a car I very much want, just used 318 as an example of something I'd rather own. ;)

Tell that to several of the local KC SCCA Foxbody owners who, well, own autox on a regular basis.

With the proper suspension setup you can make almost any car handle really well. Look at the Lightning for example.. Muscle mustangs took a bone stock lightning and 1200$ then pulled 1.06gs on a 300' pad.

I understand what you are saying but there is no way you can convince me that a solid rear axle is better than IRS in an Auto-x or road racing application.

Believe me, I won't try. :D Theres a reason our cars, and sports cars in general have IRS while pony cars, muscle cars, etc are solid live axle.

I wouldn't want an e30 m3 because I'd hate to corrupt it with mods. They're bringing so much coin now that I wouldn't want to fuck one up.

Thats no joke man. :mad: Looked into a couple of those before I got my MS6 and found people asking 14-20k for E30s! They're such nice looking cars, though! Also looked at several E28 M5s, they're just as high!!

318 would be a great place to start, 325 would be even better. I've found online several people on stock 2.5s in the E30s slap on a megasquirt to get rid of the junk problematic Motronic and slap on T3 turbos.. Several people on stock longblocks cranking out like 300rwhp without problem!

I have owned 4 Fox body mustangs. I was a mustang fanatic. Besides Ls1 cars, they ar the cheapest way to go fast in my opinion. You can drop $1000 in them in used parts and spank vetts red light to red light all day long. Your screwed after the red light. Lol. But you get my point....

But unless you rip everything out and start new on the suspension to make a rail car. They are the biggest turd in the world in a curve. But they are awesome in the straight away!!! They are heavy in the front and if there is a drop of water in a curve it is a garrented spin out.

You can make a 1 ton truck able to dirt track with enough money.

Took these with my old Rebel that had some nasty stuff on the Sensor.. Crappy camera. Sorry they're huge, I don't feel like resizing them.
