Since the claws didn't hurt me when she just attacked, she decided to bite harder.
This bitch is crazy. |
Pics of carnage?

You can also try getting her some scratching post-- any old cheap one. Then find some fresh catnip and rub it all over the post; really grind it in. I say fresh not dried because the fresh stuff is much more potent. I guess good dried catnip is better than none. Anyways, she'll divert all her clawing attention to the post until the catnip wears off. Then reapply.

just got a kitten a little while back my self. Clipping the claws is easy. now if only there was something humane that i could do about those razor fucking teeth.....

I say declaw....only if kittah will stay indoors at all time for the rest of it's life. I have two that are declawed and they're fine. Even with no front claws (rears are still there) they still drift on the hardwoods. If you really want to see a driftin kittah.....wet their back feet really good and chase them :giggle:

Thanks for the hook up.
It was pretty easy to trim the claws and she didn't get violent. I didn't cut very much off becuase I'm worried about hitting the quick. I can see where the pink part inside the claw stops, but there is a little white part that extends down further so I could only cut off about 2-3mm of claw. This seems to have gotten the job done to stop the human blood shed, she can't climb the drapes, nor can she propel herself around by stabbing the cloth furniture at my GF's house. Maybe its time to move her into my place with the nice furniture. |
Enjoy every day you don't have this bitch:
http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/4...1006271326.jpg Sure, she doesn't look too sinister but I have scars on my feet which prove otherwise. She's taken down countless lizards, rats, a couple snakes and a raccoon (which she kept cornered until I shot it). I've also found dead opossums which were shredded beyond all recognition (looked more like a dog's handiwork). Baby birds are her favorite, she climbs all the trees in our backyard and raids the nests at night. While outside, she's always flanked by three or more screaming Mockingbirds. Our 130 lb. Labrador is scared shitless of her and flinches if she walks into the room. Finding a lizard corpse with a single slit down its throat every other day is enough of a warning to make sure she gets fed. I wouldn't declaw a cat unless I could 100 percent guarantee he/she would never be outside. |
Beware of cuteness:
http://www.boostedmiata.com/gallery2.../DSC_00491.jpg I gave the white one a bath saturday...that was fun. |
Whitey has some beast paws.

Do those stay on long enough to be worth the drama? I may order a set of those and try them. Can I get them at the local pet store or do I have to order? I want to give the kitter a test-run this weekend.
