I don't think the SV1000 is all that bad for what it is. After all it makes 70 ft/lbs of torque and 111 HP. It's thousands cheaper because it does not put out the power that the modern superbikes do. I really don't need a 200 HP street bike.

You make a fair point though.

For not a lot more money you can buy a used RSV-R mille or falco and have 120-130hp and a fantastic rotax mill and the feel of an italian bike. (it really is different..)

I love V-twins, so much torque, On my old VX800 i would whomp my Z1000 stoplight to stoplight, on the open road I was toast. The power wherever you needed it was nice.
