So today she is officially 8 months, so the countdown to fatherhood begins, even though women really go through 10 months but whatever. So it's been a long 8 months and a lot has changed.
A lot of people remember my initial thread that was pretty immature and showed I needed a lot of improvement before the baby came. Well, all I can say is that a lot has progressed. We still have medicade but that's it. No more stamps or other government assistance. I got a new job as a su chef at a Holiday Inn right down the street from our house. I've been working 35+ hours a week plus 15 credit hours of school so I'm dead. I can't wait until next semester when I'll be picking up an additional shift plus taking an additional class so I can hurry up and finish school.
This medicade experience has been a ******* nightmare and as soon as the baby is born I will do WHATEVER it takes to not have to use it. We are trying to find some sort of an inexpensive family insurance for all three of us.
She got her CNA license a little while back and will be doing that after she is able to start working again. Which she has still been working 4-5 days a week as a waitress and plans to continue.
I think this was 1 month, and no that's sprite in those cups!

And over Thanksgiving:

I tried to sell the miata but in today's market if you aren't selling one for dirt then good luck. So I just took it off insurance and parked it. Current pic just because:

So I thought I would just post every once in a while in here as I approach D-day (dad day).

Haha good luck man, and don't sell your Miata. People still need hobbies after kids. I sold my 96 300zx, 01 Ninja6r, and 95 240 ka-t.... (5yrs later and 2 kids down) I should have kept them.

Lol at pregger ****. It's all fun and games until your g/f actually has one in the oven. She wants to get the band or whatever it's called for women, supposidly it's something they can do while they are "down there."
.
That had to suck donkey *****.
Turbo4...good luck on fatherhood...it's a real gamechanger.
+1 on keeping the Miata because you will definitely needs something that is "you" time occasionally. I go out to the garage at least a half hour each evening just because it's something that is completely in my control, that I can plan and have a pretty good idea how it's going to turn out, and that I enjoy.
Being a father, husband, student and employee there isn't much in my life that has enough of those traits to keep me sane.
I don't know if ya'll've done the showers...but for me looking at all those little pink outfits for my soon-to-be-born daughter was what made it really sink in.

We've done one shower with her friends and have a family one coming the 13th from her side of the family. It defnitely hit me when doing the Target baby registration and scanning stuff up/down the baby isle's for what seemed to be an hour.
Just wait til you see that sucker pop out.
Tip: after the baby comes turn and walk out of the room, tell everyone there that its a boy/girl and how beautiful it is...stall for 5min. If you don't you will see the most vile stuff coming out of your ladies vag...after birth!

fatherhood scares the **** out of me as it's something i find on my mind all the time for this reason: I don't feel i'm ready or in the state of mind, but at the same time i don't want to get too old, i'm already 29 and she'll be 30 in 6 months.
