Default So I just had a job interview....

First off, i don't like this whole process of having my brain picked with odd questions and having to try to think of "situations" from years past. But this was a bit easier. Why? Because for the whole interview i got to drink beer and sit here in my boxers. Phone interview FTW!

On a side note, i think it all went rather well and they should be calling me back with a time to come in and talk with a few supervisors.

It was kinda like this...sans the ocean and the boat.

Wooa! What's the job?

I remember when I made my interview for my job. They juste asked how much I wanted for my salary, when I could come the sooner and gave me and handshake! lol! No welding test or nothing!

Well it seems that they're looking for people in both their inventory dept. and loking for a testing engineer. It's computer/IT/server stuff. I told them i didn't have much background with Intel servers but i was more then willing to learn since they're looking for entry level people for that.

nope.. i didn't get a haircut lol. I did get some of it taken off a couple months ago.. but it's still long Wait.... so when the hell were you stalking me to know i had long hair? I don't recall meeting you :(

Though i did find out about someone who work there....could be a bit of an annoyance. It's this guy who thinks im some kind of 'driving God' (i have proof that he thinks this) and something tells me he's going to be asking me to teach him how to drift and stuff. I joked around with Jenn that I should cut my hair and shave my go-tee so he wont recognize me..and to drive Jenn's black MSM everyday so he won't see my car..... and tell him im Mike's twin brother.

You should teach him how to drive, and charge a fee for instruction to cover your own track time. If he's all talk he'll shut up and not bug you about it, if he is actually interested in driving then you'll have some cheap tracktime for yourself.

Yup, i did indeed meet him. How the hell do you hydrolock a damn Focus?? Drive it into a lake/pond/river/well/water treatment facility ??? Oh, he is looking to buy a Miata... did you tell him about the one you have for sale?

lol He said he hit some bad standing water and into the CAI it went...
I did tell him, and it's in his price range, however, after he thought about it, he decided it would be better to have something with a back seat for his son when they're all in the car (I told him to get a roll bar and tell his son to hang on!). Which sucks, I'd rather the STO go to someone I know will take care of it than a complete stranger.

Not that frightening when they now that you have made welding school.

Well they did make me pass a little test when I entered the first day but it was just to see how was my welds. Now it's sure that they didn't give me the piping backpuged job the first day! I welded little things that are "innoffensive" but hey after 4 months they jumped me on the piping jobs and now it will be 1 year in june that I work there and I do at least 15 hours by weeks on buckpurged piping jobs. Tolerance of +/- 1 degree angle and 1/32 on assembled lenght/height. I don't think that is so frightening. Because remember, when you go to hospital, the needle that they sterilized could be coming from the sterilizater that I participed to make

Do me a favor and hit mine up next. I got the front and sides all done, weed wacked around the house and fence, and edged. I hit the rear with the rider, but it still needs "detail" mowing and weed weed wacking around the fence line and stuff.

I've got a good assortment of beer in the fridge. Since you're being my buddy and mowing my yard for me, feel free to help yourself.

PS, I've flushed my coolant system twice now, and it's looking good again. My griffin rad should be here today hopefully, and I'm going to stop by HF on the way home to get a 1/2 NPT tap. Some new rad hoses and an oil cap should be here any time now. If all goes well, I'll be working until the wee hours with the rad swap and oil drain.

plus you can ride ben's hot rod mower

I (re)introduced myself at the Mitty, by the GRM tent, top of the hill at the end of the day. You and "kermit" were hanging out talking about doing the parade laps. I was driving the Silver NA with the rspeed/chapparral wheels.

you mean hood ride I'm sure. not sure if any engine you hone the cylinders with a hand drill can be called "hot rod".

I got an air compressor from my dad I need to bring over to the house. When I'm at HF tonight I'm going to get one of their cheapie HVLP guns to finish up the mower. Flat black with Popsicle orange flames.

only 6 years away from being able to, too!
