If I were in your shoes... (nice shoes btw)
I'd probably be happy with mild modification, mostly suspension on the NSX. I've ridden in one...not lucky enough to drive...and those are great cars out of the box. I'd leave it alone. This may sound odd...but keep it as your DD.
The Miata is a LOT easier to transform into something far and above how they rolled out of Hiroshima. Power addition is relatively cheap and easy. Suspension and brake mods are well documented, reviewed and choices cheap and abundant.
And if you're DDing the baller car...you can track **** the Miata, although ripping the interior out of a 10AE will surely get you a warning, if not a temporary ban, on the other Miata forum.

I actually ended up buying the Miata after shopping for an FD. After looking at a couple of complete turds a friend suggested the Miata. I think my first words were, "A Miata? **** that." Then I test drove one. That's all it took. Reminded me of my first CRX.
So I'd like the Miata to be quicker. I track all of my cars really so I'm sure it will see at least one trip to Hallett and a few to the autox.
And by all of my cars, even the SUV.

The CR-V has Konis, GCs, Azenis and an Addco rear sway bar. Tire pressures were too low and those wheels are too skinny for 225s. It's still a blast to drive and pretty damn quick around the course. Usually a mid to high place in the pack.
I also have a turbo kit sitting on the shelf for that.

Oh and sell the NSX, use the money to get another DD (something used), and whatever is left for miata parts. That'll probably be about 8k which is more than enough to build a strong setup

Well you seem pretty set on what you want more so sell the miata and get a few parts for the nsx. You're on a miata forum, what do you think we'll tell you to do lol. We love our turbo miatas as just racing one on the track makes you feel like an underdog which is always fun. Apparently you want the nsx more because of cost and history. I say you'd want to keep it then. Rid yourself of the miata and get some money. When it all comes down just do what'll make you happy. They can both be equally as fast.

It comes down to this, I need a fun daily that I can occasionally autox or track. The NSX is great but there are some days I'd like to be able to take the Miata depending on weather, parking etc. The CR-V made a great daily but I'm kind of tired of sitting 2 feet off of the ground. I can make the Miata less "civil" than the NSX and not feel bad about it. I'd like to keep the NSX decent for cross country trips. It did great on the last one.
I'll just start collecting pieces for a turbo setup. I'll probably just build my own manifold. My big hurdle on turboing the Miata is EMS. Seems like lots of choices but none of them are great unless you approach $2K.

I think the 5 spd in this one is starting to show it's age with the recent abuse.

I never said I wanted to get rid of either. And due to some odd circumstances last year if I sell the Miata I won't make any money on it since it's now a new loan. It would just eliminate that payment which really isn't that big to begin with.

So wait, we actually get a n00b in here who can post good English, has sense, drives the **** out of his cars and has good tase and all you fvckers do is tell him to keep selling stuff just to build one car? Typical M-T ------ry
Welcome over BTW. I don't know why people think some cars are always "expensive"..hell, for the $25-30k price range you can get a Viper, an Elise, a NSX, Z06 'vette (yuck), BMW E39 M5, 996 911 Carerra S or a Supra TT among others.
BTW, I have a great exhaust and downpipe that would greatly help you out on your quest to boost the Miata..all you need is a FM/BEGi manifold anda FM turbo outlet elbow for one of your T25s

Didn't know there was another Hybrids member. Cool.
Yeah I actually debated between the Elise or NSX for quite some time. After sitting in both though I decided I would rather take vacations in the NSX. Thanks for the offer on the exhaust. I'm already working on another deal though.
