btw this thread wont get ugly if you dont say ignorant shit like "hussein osama".

what I'm really curious about is how many of you donated money and volunteered for the campaign.

+1 Barack

+1 gave money

+1 canvassed in a rural area of a swing state

Woops, did I hit "s" what I meant was Hussein Obama...my bad.

+1 (again) McCain

+1 gave money

+1 volunteered

+1 encouraged people that didn't know what they were taking about not to vote based solely on stupid media hype BS, but to educate themselves on the issues before hand to make an educated decision as to whom to vote for.

No matter who wins we, as a country, are fucked. I'd hit Palin tho.

johndoe 11-04-2008 12:44 PM

Loki047 11-04-2008 01:03 PM

Face it, dude: except for the economy, taxes, healthcare, defense, foreign affairs, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, the environment, abortion, civil rights, gay rights, education, and energy, their policies are EXACTLY THE SAME.

I voted this morning, number 311 in my district.

ZX-Tex 11-04-2008 02:20 PM

I'd rather hit Tina Fey

I voted this morning on the way to work. Go McCain! He will certainly win my state. I need him to win so NASA will stay well funded and I can keep my totally kick ass job doing R&D for NASA missions. Between my own self-interest (yeah I said it) and my overall like for McCain the choice was easy.

Just got back from the poll. @ ~ 1:45pm, I was #241 in the district. How sad is that?

JDMAflac 11-04-2008 02:59 PM

Just got back with no waiting in line.

ScottFW 11-04-2008 03:04 PM

Voted at 9:30 and I was #285 in my precinct among those with last names beginning with S through Z. There were about 8 people in front of me so I only waited a couple of minutes. Weird thing, the line for H through M was at least 250 people and 45 minutes long.

There are a bunch of stores giving away free stuff if you show your "I voted" sticker. Krispy Kreme, Ben & Jerry's, and a few others I don't remember.

Fireindc 11-04-2008 03:04 PM

I voted. Wrote in Ron Paul.

Newbsauce 11-04-2008 03:10 PM

I was #430 in our district. Got a sticker so now I'm going to get my free dinner at Shane's Rib Shack or Chic-Fil-a.

That's fair enough. I'm willing to say a good 25% of the people that DID vote (if not more) probably SHOULDN'T have voted because they have no idea how to spell current events let alone understand them...That's another issue though.

I'm just waiting for these election results:

Black Voters - 97% Obama 3% McCain +/- 0%
White Voters - 50% Obama 50% McCain +/- 3%
Women Voters - 50% Obama 50% McCain +/- 3%
Hispanic Voters - 50% Obama 50% McCain +/- 3%
Asain Voters - 50% Obama 50% McCain +/- 3%

I know condition one will be true. I'm curious of the rest.

I can see 60% Obama 40% McCain among Hispanic voters.

ZX-Tex 11-04-2008 04:09 PM

FWIW my hispanic wife and her hispanic mother are both voting for McCain, or more so voting against Obama.
