If people were actually progressive I'd agree that the "race card" is dead. But they aren't, as shown on this forum. When people stop judging based SOLEY on race then I'll say it's dead. Until then ignorance and fear will keep it alive. Calling a black person a monkey is on par with calling them a ------. Calling Bush a monkey is NOT the same thing.

Palin took heat because she's a fucking idiot. Go to youtube and search for "Prank Palin". She is a public figure and her effectiveness as a potential VP is directly relational to her intelligence. Obama is black but his effectiveness as a President has nothing to do with his skin color. Big difference.
