It looks dangerous, but I bet if you found a statistics page on the job, there is probably a very rare occurrence of death. I know I have never personally seen a news story on the nightly news about a tower worker falling to their death.

Granted this is a few years old... I think we've had more people die or get seriously inured climbing inside wind turbines, and that's just in the company I worked for. The funny thing is, they're required to be 100% tethered at all times.
