Haha. I'm gonna have to check the log and see who banned him. It wasn't me. :D
And it's a shame, as I had a response all typed up and ready to go... Ah well.

So Joe and "hornetball" please look into this class of products and report back your findings. I have provided good quality advice and input here and am pointing out some of the vapid, ignorant, immature rantings from you. It's one thing to say "That statement is false." And nobody was doing that. It's another thing entirely to say "I question the objectivity of the source of that data, and would prefer that our members use more credible citations when discussing serious technical matters." Say, for instance, that Philip-Morris were to state that it is healthier for you to inhale the air in Long Beach through the end of a lit Marlboro cigarette than to breathe it in directly. Without making any judgement as to the veracity of the claim, I doubt very seriously that the Journal of the American Medical Association would allow this claim to be cited in one of its articles, as the source of the claim is not impartial, and the claim is not supported by any obvious data. So that's really all that's happening here. I'm trying to help you look less like the slacker guy in the Apple ads. And Joe, you are a Super Moderator? Is that why this forum seems like it is run by and for 12 year olds per some that write me. It is largely your fault? Shame on you. If you don't care to moderate, give the task to someone else. Who owns this forum? |
What reason was he banned for is what I want to know.

Have you read any of the threads he is in? Why not PM a mod instead of dragging this out further.

We've never used any fuel additives and none of our vehicles have ever had any real carbon build-up. I'm not sure if its just in my head or reality, but after a good flogging, the vehicle I'm driving at the time always seems to run better afterwards. Our truck sees the most change from it after pulling a heavier 20-24k pound load for extended periods.
Joe, your thoughts on the Italian tune up? Just speculation, but I'm sure it had something to do with his direct attack towards a Mod. That would be the same thing as swinging at an officer. You just don't do it, especially when it wasn't provoked. |
I usually fill up at the Stripes down here in TX and never seemed to have any issues. Don't know what "tier" it is though. After I change my oil and put a few miles on it I like to give it a good highway on ramp run through of the gears. I don't think I've ever had a set of spark plugs in for 30k though.

I just think sometimes forums spread bad information than good information. I have officially fixed your quote for you. |
