Street Racing?

Willing to accept the responsibility of killing other people? So street racers now equal homicidal maniacs? Uh....
There is never an excuse for street racing... if you claim its cost related... then pick a new hobby.
I do track days throughout the midwest. No certifications, all HPDEs and open track days. I spend max, 135 for a day. You can track stock cars... people bring out rental cars.
If you can't afford that for a day of amazing on track fun. Then you really need to rethink what you do. For a living and for a hobby. I save up until I can afford an event... and then I save up for the next event. Not that hard to figure out... its like doing everything else... but without using credit.

I don't like the organized "street racing" so much, the people usually are asshats and cops find big groups of loud people a lot faster. Here in Tampa they race across 1 of 3 7-9 mile bridges that cross the bay, usually on late Saturday nights. The cops know they are there because they gather at the ends of the bridge on the causeway areas but they really can't do anything about the racing because there is nowhere to sit out on the bridge and tag them racing since its so damn long.
But like I said, a lot of people will dig from a light up to 60-70mph, even if they won't admit that they do.

I gave up SR a while back , But it's no excuse for putting other peoples lives at risk, Im not saying its ok, and Im not defending anyone or siding with anyone, anyone who streets does it via their own will, nobody puts a gun to their heads telling them to do so, some might do it to show off, some to fit in, Any reason can come about, but when the **** hits the fan its not pleasent, legal issues associated with SR can be very costly and even involve jail time and perminent licnese suspension, There's no excuse for endangering the lives of others, to some the power under foot can be overwhelming and take over their common sense.

I'd love to know how you are 100% sure there is never anyone on the road. You know, like the random homeless guy who just got up from behind a dumpster. Or a restless grandma who decided on a walk through some random area.
Or maybe just an animal that causes an accident and damage to bystanders or the other racer?
The only place to minimize these risks to an acceptable level is on a track. 1320/roadcourse etc....

Well cincinatti is 2 hrs one way and it is the closest track i know of if i could cfind a track for the prices you are quoting that would let me run i would but i cant seem to find one. SO i dont its not like i plan the **** usualy someone revvs or was talking **** before and then a quick 50-110 and its all done their behind me and i am done as well. tell me how that is alot different than you testing and tunning your system on the street or heck come of a light and go to the limit first there wins wow ok how is this related to people doing stupid **** like swerving through traffic and dragging through town. You people need to get out of the suburbs ive seen some weeks where i see 1-2 cars totall go down the rural highway i live on.
