Stupid big feet
every once in a while when getting out of the Miata my left foot catches the bottom of the dash on exit. Well tonight going to dinner with the wife and it is raining, I got out of the car a little too fast. My left foot actually hooked the bottom of the dash good, and I broke off the bottom left corner of the dash completely off.
Guess I have no choice but to install my spare dash that has been sitting in the shed

Interesting...
I wear size 14 boots. Timberland Pro-series Titans, to be exact. And yet strangely, I've never had issues either with entry/egress or with operating the pedals.
The one problem I do have is that the cuff of my left pants leg tends to hang on the hood release pretty frequently. Most irritating.

Try this, its fun.
I could've cut more out of that edge piece you broke off, but I didn't
You can barely see on the other side the metal piece hanging down, and how much of the triangle of plastic left I could have trimmed.

I also have a momo rookie, FIA bucket that is really comfortable...anything over a few hours though and they aren't much fun.

Thanks, the Rookie is the older version of the Start. They don't look like they have too much padding but they're a good fit to the Miata from what I've read. Clears the transmission tunnel, the wings don't bang into the door and you can the seats in line with the steering wheel. Not many good fitting options for the Miata out there.
I'm still looking...
