Blasphemy! You're dissing TC!

Used to be one of the only places open all night back when I lived in Houston. That and the House of Pies. But seriously...who cares what's on the menu at TC...does anybody ever order anything besides tortillas and queso?

Way better places open at night.

Glad to hear that there is more open past 10pm now. Well, never a shortage of places open, just places that are open and serve food.

Heh! Taco Cabana is one of those places I gotta stop every time I'm in Texas. Like Skyline when you're in Cincy, or the Rendezvous when in Memphis.

I can get plenty of genuinely authentic Mexican food in So Cal. Fast Food Tex-Mex is its own thing.

I wish we could get some real Mexican Food here. There a few hole in the wall places that are not bad but they are nothing like Arizona Mexican Food.

proximity to the border makes a big difference. thankfully there's a few decent places I've found in DC--though they're disguised as cuban or salvadorean.

I prefer Taco Barrel in San Diego.

LOL.
You do realize that you are more then likely the ONLY person in Houston who cares about this right?
I think the fact that it is labeled as "Fast Food" would have tipped you off that it wasn't going to be a faithful recreation.

BTW, House of Pies rules (awesome cheese omelets, great pies.) Been going there for years. And the Montrose area happens to have some of the best eating establishments in all of Houston (Empire Cafe, Babba Yegas, etc.)
