superSEKRIT moostang project - lemons rally 2017
That (mostly) catches us up with where we are today. If I had to guess, I'd say there will be more posted very soon seeing as how the rally starts next Tuesday and we've still got a LOT of stuff to do.
So just to clarify, this isn't actually a Lemons RACE its a Lemons RALLY. It's all done on public streets with fully registered, insured and street legal vehicles. If it breaks, we fix it! We don't plan to blow it up, so we don't have a plan if it does blow up.
The Rally starts with registration on Tuesday August 15th at beautiful Laguna Grande park in Seaside, California and is timed to begin with Monterey Car Week & Monterey/Carmel/Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. I'm sure we'll fit in perfectly.
Here is the route:
8/15: Seaside, CA -> Crescent City, CA ~465 miles
8/16: Crescent City, CA -> Bremerton, WA ~500 miles
8/17: Bremerton, WA -> Bend, OR ~326 miles
8/18: Bend, OR -> Santa Cruz, CA ~550 miles
8/19: Santa Cruz, CA -> Monterey, CA Concours d'LeMons ~42 miles
As I understand it, we know where we will start and end each day, but what happens in between is up to us. For lack of a better term, there will be a set of "check points" en route where we can complete for points, but we have no idea what checkin in to those points will entail.
For those of you interested in reading more about the Rally, check out the official website: https://24hoursoflemons.com/lemons-rally/
The Rally will be using social media for checkin and scoring so if you'd like to follow along with us, you can find us on Instagram @moostangrally or https://www.instagram.com/moostangrally/
Thanks!
That pretty much the goal for the event, so it sounds like we are already on course

I think for the rally, I would need to convert it to a truck and put a camper top on the back.
Haha, rad. My buddy Dave had a former taxi he drove for a number of years, that thing was a beast. After he sold it we fount it at the Pick-N-Pull a couple months later, so we brought him back a souvenir ...door, and left it in his front yard
I think you lot need to fab up some antlers for the sides of the roof rack. Because obviously you do!
That's ******* hilarious.
