I had TWC (roadrunner) cable and it sucked. I then upgraded to At&t U-verse (high-end dsl basically). I have the max speed 18mbps and it never goes down. You can get cable and wireless also for a bundle package. I just did a speakeasy test 15620kbps and 1871kbps. Cable around here is very up and down with speed and connection so dsl is the only way to go. .02

 

As an update I now have Time Warner and it does indeed suck *****. Cable works about 70% of the time with pretty frequent glitches in the video and audio or just a plain gray screen with no output whatsoever. I have a feeling there is nothing to be done about this. If they can't do anything about it I'll just cancel the cable and keep the internet. I can live without TV if I'm paying for TV that often doesn't work.
