Big Thanks!
It's not often that you get to see all of your hard work come together, but this weekend it was clear as day. I had an amazingly successful track day. I was able to push my car to the limit of the tires in every corner. I didn't sustain any mechanical failure. I'm sure there is still some time to be gained with my setup, but that will require a little more seat time. only car that gave me trouble in my group was one of the 996 turbos. I was actually catching him until I was caught in lap traffic.
I just wanted to say thanks to all the members that make this a great forum, and share their success. There really isn't a single original idea on my car. It's a hodgepodge of all the useful advice on this forum. We have ready made recipes for creating fast cars on this site. Follow what others have done, and you will be rewarded with a fast and avoid wasting a ton of money on failure.
I ended up with one of the PCA national instructors. He told me he's seen a lot of miatas, and budget miata builds. He said that mine was one of the best he's felt/seen.
Thanks!
I really liked the porterfield race pads on the front and xP10s on the rear. With my bias valve they would lock at the same time. Pedal feel was very linear. After a few laps I knew right where to push the pads and stop before they locked the wheels.
