I like the proportions of the 1 series...reminds of cars before they got so bloated. Taller greenhouse, lower trunklid, looks great to me.

Yeah, I've heard about this problem. It's a high pressure fuel pump that looks like it's engine mounted. They bork pretty regularly. It got bad enough that they stuck a 100k warranty on the pump.
The interesting thing is that the single turbo engine they switched to uses the same pump. A friends brother has a 335i that had the turbos go bad (started leaking like crazy/something about overheating, I'm not completely sure what the case was). BMW fixed it for free, but apparently that is also a common issue. |
Nice looking car especially black with red leather. Great motor, heavy curb weight.
