You're comparing apples to oranges, different OEMs, different suspension, etc.

I'm comparing a BMW to a BMW that have very similar suspension set-ups, etc.

I like the proportions of the 1 series...reminds of cars before they got so bloated. Taller greenhouse, lower trunklid, looks great to me.

A friends brother has a 335i that had the turbos go bad (started leaking like crazy/something about overheating, I'm not completely sure what the case was).
BMW fixed it for free, but apparently that is also a common issue.

Nice looking car especially black with red leather. Great motor, heavy curb weight.

Well heavy cars are something we have to accept because everyone wants 27 airbags and such.
