Call me out when you meet me, I'll buy you a beer. Hide behind the keyboard and you are persona non grata.

AKA 'Keyboard Courage'. Yes, that crap is a waste of time to read, much less write.

Hey listen tough guy, don't come in here using latin and ****! Personally, that kind of **** annoys me. If you have the ***** to use that **** on a complete stranger in a forum, then you should use it while standing face to face with them at a club meet. I bet you speak all english in person. Coward.

Call me out when you meet me, If you can rattle off the spelling of antidisestablishmentarianism, I'll buy you a beer. Otherwise you are a persona non thesaurus.

Good night everyone!

When I was like 9, my sister and I used to have contests to see who could spell antidisestablishmentarianism faster.

Guiness draft please

I used to get away with buying beer at like 14 on family trips to europe. And I definitely didn't look "of age".

I had my first few pints in a pub at the age of 15....I was tall for my age I suppose (stopped growing when I got to 6'4"). If your out the coutry side then it doesn't matter as much.

Emilio, I agree with everything you've said, but I think you're missing a very common internet phenomena. I'll put it in your club meet terms and I believe you'll understand completely.

Let's say you're enjoying a cold one with your buddies after a hard day's racing and some dude, who's always a great guy on the Mturbo forum, ambles over to your car to check it out. While he's there, and because he's too lazy to take the short jaunt over to the portapotties twenty-five yards away, whips it out and begins to take a **** on your drivers seat.

Now, do you say, "Please, sir, don't **** in my car", or do you clock the bastard first and explain what the problem was afterward? I think I know the answer.

The difference is in perception and semantics.

If some one figuratively pisses in my cornflakes on the interweb, I ignore them. If someone pisses on my car at a club meet, I clock him.

My complaint is not about the reaction of a reasonable person.

It's that there are too many with enough web cojones to do that to anyone and everyone on a forum but never brave enough to do the same in person. Otherwise, our club meets would have news crews ready and waiting.

No, some people are simply ignorant cowards with an agenda. That is earth and the rest of us just deal with it.

Again, I don't disagree with what you're saying Emilio, I guess we just weigh the two conflicting issues differently.

Where you see, "ignorant cowards with an agenda"; I see a rowdy crowd not taking anything particularly seriously. Where I see, "noobtards" and "zombies" who would diminish the credibility of the site; perhaps you see new members and clients who simply want to learn.

One thing I'm sure we both agree on is that this is probably the least of our concerns (having real lives which have nothing to do with this site) and it's for the mods and admins and owners of the site to balance the conflicting interests.
