Yikes.

BTW - Brake cleaner and carb cleaner works well against insects and spiders.

The eggs - if I'm not mistaken - are brown widow eggs. They're spikey. Black widow eggs are smooth.

p.s. I'm completely unafraid of spiders but cockroaches make me squeal.

I hate spiders too. I dont know what I would do if I found one in my car. Chances are, it would be a while before I drove it again. Now I'm thinking. My car is in the garage with the windows down. OH HELL!!! Spiders are always all over the place. There are times I wake up in the middle of the night due to a spider crawling on back of my leg. Gives me the creeps.....

Especially when sprayed through a zippo flame thrower style.

"So why the **** was the spider kept alive?"
Torture

"BTW - Brake cleaner and carb cleaner works well against insects and spiders."
Better yet, fill a bottle full of brake cleaner + some chlorine and drop the spider in.
Ignite and watch it burn.
I hope I don't find anymore spiders today.

This thread has made me itchy. I'm glad the scariest spiders we get here are Wolf Spiders and Daddy Longlegs. Ya for cold shitty winters!

I remember working on a friend's windshield wipers, and I kept feeling something brush my finger while I reached in to turn a bolt. Almost tickling. I got a light, and it was a back widow, reaching out with one arm.

JESUS!

Mother ******* got the oxy-acetylene action.

Now my car here gets sometimes several in one year, and it takes a long time to get rid of them all. But they always tend to be under the tank (bad place for fire, but you don't find them when you are driving). Some years I get none.

My wife's an exec in a grocery chain. You Cali guys have been getting most of their new stores over the last couple years. Winco. The guys in the receiving department for produce see all sorts of fun stuff. Think about all the fruits and vegetables. They come from all over the world. Spiders of all sorts, scorpions, funky bees, etc. For a while she was having the guys save the interesting ones for her brother. He went through a spider, snake, weird reptile phase.

Spiders have limbs, those limbs are high surface area, low volume. Which means it takes very little heat to get them to quickly become, if not ex-spiders, limbless. A big open flame does the job really quick, though lately I've become a fan of RAID, etc.
