We are pretty fucking awesome:giggle:

you and savington should stop by for beers tonight. he should be picking up my top anyways.

CA and TX crews both have it too easy. Pretty much year round driving, lots of tracks to choose from within a couple hours drive and anywhere from 5-25 FI Miatae at any given event. Here in the NW we have three tracks in a 400 mile radius. When Curly and I drove a couple sundays ago it was the first time, out of 15 track day's, I'd seen another FI Miata. You all have it too good! I bet you even compare notes, modifications and can help each other out with parts, projects and tuning. Aaack.

I run in a wolf pack... of one.

UrbanSoot 05-31-2009 06:50 PM

yeah... i haven helped 4 local miata guys with turbo installs, tuning, parts, and what not. there are at least 10 FI miatas in around 20 mile radius that i know of and i bet there are another 30 i dont know about :)

I tried to give Savington a beer today but he said mother wouldn't appreciate it. He was born in the 90's.

UrbanSoot 05-31-2009 11:54 PM

he refused my offer to go for a beer also... :(

hustler 06-01-2009 12:12 AM

I really want to make my car reliable enough to drive it to and from the event. After what I wen through this weekend, I've realized that making a street car ultimately reliable to do this would be a real accomplishment...because I'm not going to win shit in my car in a street tire class.

lol wtf? how old is savington?

:eek5: HOLEEEE SHIT!!! Kid is that young? WOW

crashnscar 06-01-2009 03:15 AM

lol, he's not quite that young

Savington 06-01-2009 04:32 AM

Hustler wishes I was 17. He tried to lure me into the bathroom with a Tootsie Roll that wasn't all chocolate. :magna:

I appreciate the beer offers, but I still had a pile of driving to do and I'm a few months short of 21.

18psi 06-01-2009 04:35 AM

I see....Good thing you didnt fall for the ol' tootsie roll lure: hustler would have scarred you for life....and I mean that literally as well as figuratively:giggle:

I have a lot more in my life than just the miata.

Damn the legend was in Cali and I missed it! Our track events do pwn, come back during the summer, there should be another boosted miata out there soon :).

shouldn't be too difficult once you've ironed out the initial bugs. i've been daily driving and tracking my car for the last 2+ yrs. when it has broken, i've been in town or made it home. but my chassis has 198,000 mi. just over 100k have been turbocharged. motor has probably 50k on it. and my tranny just broke at 195,000 miles. that's drag racing since 1998, and since i bought it in '07, i've done at least 18 auto-x weekends, 1- auto-x school, 2 rally-x events, 16 pca de/tt events, 10 nasa de/tt events, 1 redline time attack 3 day event, 2 drag race events, (only cost $5 more than just watching so i figured what the hell) 1 tdr track day :-), and i'm going to a drift event next weekend. if my piece can handle that shit, yours should have no problem.

i plan on making it out to the west coast this year. i would have went last year, but there was an awesome event at vir that i wanted to enter, and i've always wanted to drive that track too. VIR full was incredible, the entire place was awesome. otherwise i would have gone to laguna seca. but after seeing the speedventures calender this year, and hearing so much about them, i'm thinking buttonwillow or thunderhill in sept./oct.
