track crew: california tack events > Texas
CA and TX crews both have it too easy. Pretty much year round driving, lots of tracks to choose from within a couple hours drive and anywhere from 5-25 FI Miatae at any given event. Here in the NW we have three tracks in a 400 mile radius. When Curly and I drove a couple sundays ago it was the first time, out of 15 track day's, I'd seen another FI Miata. You all have it too good! I bet you even compare notes, modifications and can help each other out with parts, projects and tuning. Aaack.
I run in a wolf pack... of one.

yeah... i haven helped 4 local miata guys with turbo installs, tuning, parts, and what not. there are at least 10 FI miatas in around 20 mile radius that i know of and i bet there are another 30 i dont know about

I really want to make my car reliable enough to drive it to and from the event. After what I wen through this weekend, I've realized that making a street car ultimately reliable to do this would be a real accomplishment...because I'm not going to win **** in my car in a street tire class.
Hustler wishes I was 17. He tried to lure me into the bathroom with a Tootsie Roll that wasn't all chocolate.
I appreciate the beer offers, but I still had a pile of driving to do and I'm a few months short of 21.

then savington could have sued hustler for all he has - his car.

i plan on making it out to the west coast this year. i would have went last year, but there was an awesome event at vir that i wanted to enter, and i've always wanted to drive that track too. VIR full was incredible, the entire place was awesome. otherwise i would have gone to laguna seca. but after seeing the speedventures calender this year, and hearing so much about them, i'm thinking buttonwillow or thunderhill in sept./oct.
