Default Track Window Stickers... What are the meaning

So I was wondering what other people think of the meaning of these.
1. That you have Raced on that particular track (not with the current car that the sticker is on)
2. That car has raced on that particular track.
3. Or is it that you have been to that track but have not raced on that track

I have ran a car on the Nurburgring, but of coarse it isn't the car I drive here. I have also raced my last NA and NB on Sebring, but not my current NA. Would that be able to get a Sebring Sticker.

I want to know what you guys think what the Stickers Meaning.

Strictly speaking, it SHOULD be #2 but I've seen the Nurburgring sticker on cars here too in Australia and there's no way most of these cars were shipped to and from Germany for some hot laps.

It means the owner is 10 bucks down on saving towards a real track modification.

There's no international track sticker licensing standard, all they really mean is that the owner thought they were cool enough to spend a few bucks on them and stick them on his car.

That said, the only ones I have put on my Miata are the ones that match the tracks I've driven it on.

That's what I wanted to see what everyone's point of view on the subject. I've done the Nurburgring, but I'm not in the Military anymore and I'm not paying the money to ship my car over to just race my one car on that particular track. Then the car gets totaled, then you must start all over.

#2 is how I've always understood it, but I think #1 would be acceptable as well.

#3 meh.

I'd say #1 because cars are disposable but the driver's experience on those tracks is forever. He's checking off the ones he's done and, in the case of a dual duty car, letting others that know that he goes to the track. It's a conversation starter or a nod to others who know what they mean. I've got a couple on the back of the tow vehicle and have had several conversations because of them. Most conversations are about what group you run with and whether or not you like running with them versus other groups.

I have them on my LS400. I don't think anyone actually thinks I take it to the track

#2 for a track/race car
#1 for a tow vehicle, trailer or helmet.

For me it is the car/driver have driven that track. Otherwise each new car I'd have to just keep rebuying track stickers and that is even more of a waste than the 'sticker matched to car/track' format.

Upside is those folks are typically easy to spot and weed out in short order... but the other one also opens up aspects of track day conversations.
