Being the car feen that I am, even though my fiance and I just got cars, I'm already looking at what I'd like to get next. I came across this video and just started to laugh. Watch how fast the estimated fuel range goes down with just a few pulls in this thing

There's a pretty sweet Trailblazer SS here in CT. The guy is from Groton and has a nice rear mount turbo setup. The thing sounds AMAZING.
I wonder how his "range" drops LOL.

20 gal tank (1/2 full) = 10 gal
range dropped ~9% means he used ~0.9 gal of fuel which would have normally given him a 10 mile range (City mileage).
I used to have a lot of fun making my Vette show 0 MPG instantaneous consumption. Would have been listening to Metallica though.
Why am I figuring this out? Not sure, playing with calculator all day (doing yearly budget)...

Our TBSS has almost 30K on it and I have never reset the avg. fuel economy display on it and it show 16 mpg. Not great, but for a big heavy brick w/ 400 hp it ain't bad either. The 4:10 gear kills it, it is between 2500 and 3000 rpm on the interstate.
I went to a "muscle car museum" today. There was a C6 Z06 there with the window sticker still on it. Couldn't help but notice the 26 hwy mpg rating on it. It's pretty shitty that it's rated the same as my '99 Miata that weighs 1000lbs less and has 1/4 the hp.
Chevy did alright with the LSX motors IMO.
