Double aids on you all. It's not a goddamn family house, it's a small single person apartment. Quit shitting in/on my thread! It'll be the last thing you do!!!

The idea of the thing is cool. But I would just loathe living there. And a fucking hammock to watch movies in? Hammocks are so uncomfortable for any length of time. At least there are strong tracks on the ceiling from which to hang a noose.

Compared to the alternatives in the city, you probably would not loathe it. Which was the point from the beginning. Of course compared to a regular home it sucks, but if you found yourself in somewhere like HK where you have 300sq ft to work with, it seems like a pretty bad ass alternative to a boring single room apartment with shit stacked up everywhere.

I would just hang myself if I lived in HK. Who would want to live in a 300sqft closet with suicide is an alternative.

:giggle: That is true. It wouldn't be so bad. It's not like in the big city you would spend that much time inside. Go out to eat every meal, hang out in bars/pubs, go other places to hang out. If I wasn't so broke, I would probably only be home to sleep.

I watch House Hounters International every now and again with my wife.... all I can say is foreign people have the most disgusting and ridiculous living conditions I've ever witnessed. I love the common "bathroom is a shower stall with a sink in it"

Word. If you can find a decent size, more western style home, it's $$$. Saw one episode in the suburbs or Tokyo, and a 800 - 1000sq ft, 2 room home was like 1.5 million US Dollars. But those were actually pretty nice for being so small. Another was I think actually Hong Kong, and even for big money, what you get was a pile of shit, at least compared to very poor US conditions. Live above a restaurant in a block wall 2 room bunker with almost no color, no carpets, and a dirty balcony between two tall buildings. All for a low price of like $500,000US.
