I just bought a JD2 Model 3 and now I need a notcher for my cages. The JD2 model is $250, but the one from Woodward is $65. I am failing to see why this one would not do what I need, but I have no expirience with them. Anyone here have suggestions?

As long as it's not flimsy so the hole saw moves around and it has the precision in the adjustments you're looking for, it should be ok. If you're excessively ----, it may be worth getting a better one. It should work just fine, though.
The fab shop I worked in for a year uses the JD^2. Been in use for over 8 years now... All my friend does is 4x4 rigs/chasis work and cages for cars... Says something for the quality of their products.
