You know all the electronics in the miata engine bay that we hate? Yeah all of those have he diamond star logo on them. The alternator that sucks and probably only hits its rated max and idle outputs in ideal conditions. The CAS. The fpr vac block for cold starts on 94s. And the ******* **** YOU AAAAAAHHHHHHH NB CAM SENSOR **** THAT THIGNALKHDFLKJAHDFJKHGADEJKFLALKJDBFG.

CAS is so close to that of a DSM that my ecu is totally happy with the output, pretty much was the make or break point in the whole deal.

Yeah nobody at the shop except one guy deals with Evoscan, and he despises it. We're trying to convince EcuTek to get us into the EvoX but they are reluctant due to some problems in the past. We just want to play with the TCU and manipulate line pressure commands, don't really care too much about the ECU except what info it relays to the TCU.

I sold my MS2 so I can get one of Carlos's setups. I already got one of his modded Evo intakes and ordered one of his turbo manifolds too. He is a great guy to deal with and great customer service. One of the most genuine honest people I have ever dealt with.

For real? I wondered why those parts of the car were all so unusually awful.

so what you're saying is, we should convert the whole car to diamond star electronics and solenoids and sensors

right?

righttttt?

Got it. So no more worry about rods breaking, just have to watch out for the crank walk.

I also am selling my ms3 so I can run off of an 80's ecu. I love rewiring stuff that already works and is plug and play.

He is so honest, and so truthful. Its a shame that nobody undertands his beautiful soul.

I also like ECUs that are only marginally cheaper than OTS PNP units designed for the application that also happen to have a HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE user-base and knowledge-pool.

He is so nice to my engine. DSM ECU's also have a special anti-rod-bend feature.

Will it keep my timing in check? I need my timing to stay away from my rods. I don't want my timing to hurt my rods.

So the key to protecting your rod is being fully retarded?

I admit that I am probably biased, though I try not to be. I love extreme DIY solutions, but when I saw these guys start telling people to remove NB cam and crank sensors in favor of installing old school, timing belt driven cam angle sensors, I lost all respect. I don't care what ECU you use, but removing a crank trigger wheel with appx 0° timing jitter for a CAS that adds at least 5° of jitter, then trying to boost the engine to the moon, is about as stupid as it gets, and I can't believe that sheeple follow.

But Ben...they have made 550hp on a bone stock Mazda BP05 and have ran close to 40 PSI on stock valve springs.

They are clearly.....well......full of ****.
