I posted this because I've seen on a few occasions where people wanted to see what the two step (launch control, whatever) sounded like, and this is kinda the first video of my car actually running. Whatever, I should have realized that I was going to be flamed for this, so bring on the hateraide.

In reality there is no way my car would be in the shape that it is in without most of you guys on here. So I guess what I am really trying to say is that the video is actually your fault.

Set the Launch to 3000, retard above 2800, timing to -10, go into Rev Limits and remove spark, leave fuel. Give it hell and watch the fireballs... Or ******* murder your cat.

 

Yeah, that would be mostly bad ***. It would teach that soccer mom that creeps up on me at stop lights to not do that again, but the problem is that I currently have no exhaust so all I would do is create a cool orange under glow neon look and make my seat hot, burning my ***.

Hopefully he doesn't take it the wrong way, as I meant none of that. I know he is a busy man, and the end result will be awesome. He almost beat me, so I am not exactly the one to talk, as I got mine running just about a month ago.

 

After installing my Enthuza 3" TurboRacer exhaust (Yeah, On an N/A Car. ) I got bored and started playing. I've yet to see it yet, but I'm told sometimes it'll actually blast a 3 - 5 foot diameter fireball out exhaust and is deafening in the cockpit. Boredom owned even further and I added a microswitch in my center console to play while at cruise. Actually found with those settings I can cruise at constant throttle around 4000 rpm, hit the toggle switch without changing throttle or engine rpm and the engine goes into Decel for about 3 seconds then it fires off the shotgun sound and monster fireball.

Plus from a dead stop actually launching the car is pretty amusing, it sounds like a fully automatic shotgun. Too bad my car has NO ***** and running a 3000rpm launch off the launch control results in a quick tire chirp, bogging, then gradual acceleration.


I know where ya comin from here. Just noticed you joined 1 year before I did and it took you right about 2 years to complete your build.. Now I don't feel so bad as I've been on here for a year now. I'm getting close, but now things are really starting to add up. Flanges from Weir are shipping right now, but I still need a horizontal cut bandsaw, and some gas for my welder... along with a HUGE refresher course in wirefeed welding with the addition of Aluminum. So close, yet, actually so far away.

This is the limit at 3000rpm with a not so bad launch.. I was going to raise the limit to around 4000 and try another launch but it started raining.. Plus I think the neighbors were gonna call the cops on me.. It was only 1am..
