It was so much work having to take the sail back and forth from side to side.

The wife and I had a Hobie 16 when we were younger, and a very skilled coworker to teach me how to use it. That thing could accelerate what seemed as quick as a 300rwhp miata. Yes, the raw power of everything makes the 15mph seem like 100, it's insane, dangling out there on the trapeze, having the rudder stick ripping out of one hand and the sail line in another. I was hooked, but it scared the **** out of my wife and I was not skilled enough to sail it slow or communicate under stress, so it was sold.

Towed it with the miata, mast would hang over the car. It was great.

I do want another, maybe when my kids are old enough.

Boat on the left has about double the power and torque as the boat on the right. The one on the left does about 40mph with a tail wind. The one on the right can do 100 with a head wind.

God do i hate when people ask me if i do a lot of fishing...

Had a fantastic weekend at Greenwood lake in NJ with the crew. (see picture). Unfortunately, not every boat in the picture did as well as the other.

From right to left;
GNH couldn't get on plane, was the only boat in his class still "running" at the end of the weekend and couldn't even start a race.
The boat with the tinted windshield 2.5l modified actually put a hole in the wind trap. We worked so hard getting that boat rebuilt after he blew it over at the end of the season last year. He's extremely bummed. I don't have any pictures of the damage.
Blue boat 2.5l modified actually sheered the flywheel into two pieces. The inner part was still attached to the crankshaft and the outer part was separated but didn't come flying off. I've never seen anything like it. It ended his weekend.
Orange boat 1l modified actually finished first in his class.
Then my boat, ran fantastic in both classes 5 liter and 2.5 liter modified. I actually ran both days 4 heats in a row. That's about 45 minutes each day of WOT and never lifting. Only coming back to the pits to drain and refuel. I didn't win any heats, but even being able to accomplish this is seriously impressive. I would like to give a shout out to my sponsor motor city battery for creating a battery that can last 45+ minutes of 5000rpm without dying (remember we don't run alternators).

I am unaware of any events on that date.

The next event (if i'm not invited to run at the Detroit unlimited race) would be Evansville Indiana.

Another Ohio race. Not sure I can make this one. If I do I'll be running with the 2.5l mod guys. Waynesville Ohio.

No hook-ups? That makes life a bit dull, even if there is a pit party ...

VOLUME WARNING! I'm wayyy to lazy to edit the audio right now. Also, this video was before i set the camera mic on low. And thank god for electronic image stabilization, this picture looks fantastic and super easy to watch.

Evansville Indiana national finals prep complete, here we come.

Currently in 6th place in 2.5 mod class and like 14th in my class of 5l. I'm hoping to go fast and complete every heat. It's going to be a HELL of an event. This Should be some of the best boat racing of the year. If you're in the area you should go. 16oz beers are $3.

Well this weekend go turned up to 11 REAL quick. I'm not sure I even got good video. I only got one camera on and going, and still camera shots may be hit and miss. Running 2 classes nearly killed me and the boat(which has a nice crack in it now).

This is all I have to show for it.

And somehow in 5l class... I should be getting my *** handed to me in 5l. I was not at all far back in points for 2.5 mod. I think I was 4th.
