What is it about Texas......?
I like this. I wish it were real. Maybe it is? :hustler:

Yeah, it's real...ol Mr. Hogg, Boss of the "missing Texans" division of the State Dept. doesn't beat around the bush much.
|
I get those letters from time to time when I go out the country to Califonia.
|
Thank you for the "FYI" Mr. Canadia.
|
I LOLed when I read this:
1. "Pending acquisition of this state or territory by the Armed Forces of the Unites States." Texas likes to think they're the biggest state. :giggle: If Alaska were divided in half, Texas would be the 3rd largest state in the union. |
but alaska doesn't have half the population.

My only problem with Canadians is that they wont turn right at a red light. Really sucks when you get stuck behind one.
I dont like just about everything about texans. |
I love texans. They are truly old school americans.
1. "Pending acquisition of this state or territory by the Armed Forces of the Unites States." Awesome. One day we will take over Canadia |

Seriously though, we have TWS, MSR-C, MSR-H, ECR, Harris Hill, TMS, Grand Motorsport Speedway, an F1 Track coming, and we don't have a "Track Season" as they are open year round. Oh yeah, and we have the River Walk, so suck it. |

LOL...when you put it that way. My pride for my state isn't just for it's own sake...and I don't stock up on Texas paraphenalia or anything. I just like the people, the diversity of landscapes, the fact that we are enough cultures with a land big enough I could never have to leave this place my whole life. It really is different down here when you've grown up here. I have a feeling I'd be just as proud as a nice place like Washington though. My sister went up there for Art School, and the scenery pics DID blow my mind. NW is on my list of rides. |

Only thing that really sucks about Texas is that Dallas is in it. I know people from there that are cool, but there is a general distain of people from Houston toward Dallas people and its reciprocated.
If I was in a bar in Washington though and they were picking on a Dallas guy, you bet your ass I would stand up for him though, becasue he is from Texas. That's my right, not theirs. Plus if we were in Washington, it would just be a bunch of hippies in the bar, so it wouldn't be too bad of a fight. |

HAHA!
Texas may have it's faults, but atleast it isn't Canada. |

hahahaha. Austinites must be a different breed of Texan. I love my state as much as the next Texan, but my views on politics and religion rarely match up with my "stately brothers".

Texas...
Willie Nelson Lyle Lovett Robert Earle Keene (^not into country except for the preceding three, all of who are great) Don Henley Buddy Holly Roy Orbison Janis Joplin Billy Gibbons Butthole Surfers Pantera South by Southwest (event) And that is just a taste of the musicians from here. Shall I go on? I have a nice house on 10 acres bought for less than what someone would pay for a POS apartment in SF or Manhattan. There are areas of high real estate cost here of course but they are still cheap for what you get. +1 on all the race tracks and the year-round racing/biking/sailing/whatever season Bird Island Basin (windsurfing mecca) South Padre Island 80 MPH speed limit on I-10 west of Kerrville. Highest in the U.S. according to my latest intel. five distinct geographic regions: great plains, Eastern piney woods, coastal plains, hill country (whoohoo) and Sonoran desert. Most, and meanest motherfucking tornadoes anywhere (OK that could be a minus, but huge thunderstorms are very cool as long as you do not get hit by hail or a twister. The awesome power of nature). Oh yeah and hurricanes. Shall I go on? |
I know two facts about Texas. I work with a kid named Jonathon. He's from Dallas. And he tells me that,
1. Houston smells like shit. And everyone in Texas knows it. 2. The girls in Dallas are super fine. |
Texas Sucks. ESPECIALLY San Antonio... IMO.

On a serious note, I can't imagine living anywhere else. |
Wait, this just in. The Santa Ana winds in California are caused by the fact that Reno really blows. It's true.
Seriously, just returning fire. No real animosity against most places, except for Juarez... and Mogadishu... and Pyongyang... |
Last report I read said Texas was in the best economic state out of all the states.
Texas is the shit. Want to know why? Let this soldier tell you (Watch it, it's fuckin hilarious) NWS LANGUAGE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLH5pfULi-w Sorry I couldn't embed it for some reason. Feel free to explain to me what im doing wrong. |

I hate feeling like my whole body is asleep when it rains. I hate the fact your freeways is like driving on a hot-wheel track. Its sad when your damn freeway system has U-turnoffs built. For being sooo close to the mexican border... your mexican food sucks. |
I hear Reno has some shitty police.
btw, arizona rocks. |
Who said east? Not me. But, Santa Ana winds blow FROM the east (some of it from the Reno area) to the WEST, across California.

We have the most guns, Texas possess 20% of all guns in the USA.
We can open carry a rifle. ///thread |
I love Texas for all the reasons Californians and Canadians gasp in horror.
|
lol
|
I've been to TX plenty, to Houston/Pearland/Spring where my cousins live, to San Antonio where my aunt lives, to Dallas to have a one-night stand with Trey and John, and to San Angelo for some job training. San Angelo sucks, but Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio were pretty awesome. Better, if I had a GPS, because driving in Dallas sucks. Apparently road signs are the only things which aren't bigger in Texas.. and half the roads want you to pay to drive on them.

The hill country around Austin is awesome, but traffic can still get bad out in the sticks. I'll stick with my southern Houston paradise of Pearland. It is so much more humid on the south side of houston than it is on the north side. Oh well. You gotta pick your battles. I live on almost an acre and have a 4 car garage in the back with a lift in the driveway and no HOA.
Honestly I would move to the Grand Junction, CO area if it didn't snow there so much and all mine/my wifes family wasn't here. |
